Suggestion
Fully support increased housing, especially along areas close to transit. However, bringing more residents to an area that remains car dependent for essentials like groceries could cut into the intended increased use of public transportation to decrease traffic/noise/pollution.
Suggestion
The recent changes to include mixed use in areas like around the Journal center could be impactful if applied to more commercial zones.
Suggestion
I currently drive or take the bus to work (157+141) If these routes along Montano and other roads like Osuna had protected bike lanes instead of merely buffered lanes I would feel safe enough to bike and make my trip multi-modal. Increased frequency would also help which the ride forward plan is hopefully bringing soon
Suggestion
"Car Oriented" feels like it should be listed as a challenge if we are trying to implement Vision 0 and complete streets. As someone who commutes in this area by car and by bus I would appreciate investments in making alternatives to driving safer and more accessible.
Would love to see more mixed use in this area. Putting people closer to jobs, and other essentials can also help in reducing car traffic in the area
