North ABQ

The North ABQ Community Planning Area assessment will begin in 2027. You can submit input now though the on-going activities. If you have a more pressing issue or question, check out the resources page

Stretching between I-25 to the west and Eubank to the east and between Montgomery to the south and the city limit to the north, the North ABQ Community Planning Area (CPA) is characterized by breathtaking views of the Sandia Mountains and its high desert setting. Residents living in the North ABQ CPA are within proximity to beautiful parks and are just a short trip away from a variety of recreational activities available in the foothills.

The North ABQ CPA has been primarily developed as low-density, large-lot subdivisions with retail and institutional uses along its major corridors, including Paseo del Norte. This part of the city is largely comprised of rural densities on one-acre platted lots, such as Albuquerque Acres north of San Antonio and east of Eubank. While many of the households in these neighborhoods are modern gated communities, they are also rich in native landscape.
